Update from Matt Ladika, Chief Executive Officer
We’ve been hard at work preparing for construction at our two new state-of-the-art campuses, the Sylvester Family Campus at Lyons Road and the Sylvester Family Campus at 47th Place in West Palm Beach.
Recently, we signed a construction contract with Verdex Construction to build our first campus at Lyons Road. Barring any delays with permits, construction will begin by mid-May and we could not be more excited.
As many of you know, the Lyons Road campus was hampered with some pending lawsuits, and I am proud to say that they have all been resolved in our favor. We owe a debt of gratitude to our friends at Greenberg Traurig for their outstanding representation and guidance during these legal matters.
Our property at 47th Place is currently in the architecture and permitting phase. Our goal is to break ground on the campus by early fall 2020. Our management team has been pushing forward with the new campuses during the pandemic crisis, as we cannot forget our current and future clients who need shelter and protection from emotional and physical abuse and neglect. These state-of-the-art campuses will provide the children with a welcoming and safe place to stay and heal from their trauma for many years to come, which is why we continue to make these builds a priority for the agency.
