Boca Raton, Fla. (June 14, 2012) – Jarden Consumer Solutions (JCS), headquartered in Boca Raton, demonstrated its ongoing commitment to improving the lives of abused children through a $20,000 grant to HomeSafe for the non-profit’s therapeutic treatment services and LifeSkillsSM independent living program at HomeSafe’s Bernstein Family Foundation campus in Boca Raton. The grant is made possible through the JCS Community Fund, a charity funded through the generosity of JCS employees.

The grant supports results-driven therapy to abused children, ages 8-17, in HomeSafe’s Specialized Therapeutic Group Care program, as well as HomeSafe’s LifeSkills program that teaches clients valuable independent living skills to succeed in life and become productive members of society. HomeSafe is a non-profit organization helping victims of child abuse and domestic violence. Each year, HomeSafe serves more than fifteen thousand infants, children and families.

“The goal of the JCS Community Fund is to direct funding to programs like those at HomeSafe that best address the needs and challenges of those in communities where our employees live and work,” stated Rocki Rockingham, JCS vice president of community relations and communications. Programs such as the LifeSkillsSM independent living program at HomeSafe gives young people at risk hope for a better future. We appreciate all that they do to strengthen our community.”
