Legendary artists the Commodores had 380 of HomeSafe’s closest friends and supporters dancing to their hits including “Easy”, “Lady”, and “Brick House” at the 17th Annual Classic Rock & Roll Party hosted at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on February 15.
Beloved Celebrity Host Nicko McBrain, Iron Maiden drummer, was the party’s emcee. “We’re here to have some fun this evening, but most importantly, we’re here to raise a lot of money so HomeSafe can continue to take care of the children,” said McBrain.
During the program, Greenberg Traurig was presented with the HomeSafe Hero Award for its longtime generous support of the organization on a pro bono basis, for real estate and litigation matters. Shareholder David Layman, who is also a HomeSafe board member, accepted the award for the global law firm.
“Twenty-three years ago,” said Layman, “I wanted to get involved with an agency that made a real impact for the children in Palm Beach County. HomeSafe is that agency.”
Thanks to the generosity of our guests and many sponsors, $361,000 was raised for HomeSafe programs. The Classic’s success would not have been possible without the dedication of our co-chairmen, Aggie and Jeff Stoops, Steve Bernstein, Abby Bernstein Henderson and members of the Classic committee.
