HomeSafe Appoints New Chief Operating Officer and Board Member

(Lake Worth, Fla.) – HomeSafe recently promoted its former Chief Program Officer, Amanda Stone, LMHC, to Chief Operating Officer, and has welcomed attorney Charles J. Abrams to its board of directors.

HomeSafe is a nationally accredited nonprofit protecting Palm Beach County’s and South Florida’s most vulnerable residents – victims of child abuse and domestic violence. Through its results-driven approach, the organization is a leading provider of prevention and intervention services, serving more than 15,000 infants, children, young adults and families each year. HomeSafe is one of just five specialized therapeutic group care agencies in the state of Florida—the only one in Southeast Florida.

In her four years at HomeSafe, Stone has overseen clinical teams to help families thrive and ensure children and families have the best opportunities for a successful future. Prior to HomeSafe, she was the Director of Clinical Services at Sandy Pines Residential Treatment Center, developing and monitoring clinical programs and evidence-based treatment protocols. Stone received her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling at Liberty University and Bachelor of Arts in History and Interdisciplinary Studies at Florida Atlantic University. She is a resident of Royal Palm Beach.

Abrams is an esteemed estate attorney with Greenberg Traurig. He represents developers, investors, owners, landlords, tenants, borrowers and lenders across commercial real estate and secured financing transactions. He has experience representing homebuilders in land acquisitions, dispositions and project development, including negotiating complex development agreements, resolving title issues and coordinating the installation and maintenance of infrastructure and amenities. Abrams received his Juris Doctorate at Florida State University and currently resides in Boca Raton.

“We are thrilled to have talent like Amanda and Charles as we continue to elevate the healing that takes place at our reimagined facilities,” said Matt Ladika, HomeSafe’s CEO. “Recently, we welcomed the opening of our Boca campus, and with our staff’s expertise and stewardship of our board, we have strong certainty that our organization is growing in the right direction.”
