Donors Rally on the Golf Course

Royal Palm Yacht & County Club was the location for our annual Charity Golf Tournament held on May 4. The event was led by volunteer golf ambassadors Fern Schmidt, Patty Larkin, Brooke Qualk, Pete Austin, Logan Shalmi, and Phil Procacci. Their guidance and dedication has helped bring growth and success to the tournament over the last few years.

Thanks to the support of our sponsors and participants, more than $78,000 was raised to support critical services that protect children, strengthen families, and help prevent abuse before it begins. 

All 96 players, including four youth from the First Tee – Palm Beaches program, enjoyed breakfast and a shopping experience where they picked out four items of their liking from Scales clothing and accessories. During the lunch program, they heard from Nakaylin, a young adult residing at our Pond Place Independent Living program, who shared her experience in the foster care system and why she is so focused on earning her college degree.

Details for the 2027 tournament will be announced in the fall.
