HomeSafe Announces New Board Member
LAKE WORTH, Fla June 4, 2016 — HomeSafe is pleased to announce a new member to its board of directors.
Aggie Stoops received a bachelor’s in science degree in social work from Florida State University, with an emphasis in child welfare. She continued her education at FSU, earning a master’s degree in social work, again with an emphasis in child welfare. Before she left the workforce to raise her four children, Mrs. Stoops was employed by Florida Baptist Children’s Home, where she counseled children in long-term group home placement; the Florida Sheriff’s Youth Organization where she was a placement coordinator for at-risk children in Broward, Martin and Palm Beach Counties; and the Palm Beach Habilitation Center, where she was a case manager for the developmentally disabled.
Mrs. Stoops is the Chairman of the Board of the Stoops Family Foundation, a private foundation focused on medical, social services and educational causes.
Aggie and her husband Jeff live in Delray Beach.
“HomeSafe is very fortunate to have board members, like Aggie, who are so committed to our mission,” said Matthew Ladika, CEO of HomeSafe. “Her expertise, experiences and support will help us in creating safer, more productive lives for victims of child abuse and domestic violence.”
In existence since 1979, HomeSafe is a nationally accredited nonprofit organization that protects Palm Beach County’s and South Florida’s most vulnerable residents – victims of child abuse and domestic violence.
