Matthew Ladika – Chief Executive Officer
Matthew began his career at HomeSafe in 1998 as the agency’s Director of Finance. He was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in 2005, then began his current role of Chief Executive Officer in 2007. Matthew takes HomeSafe’s mission to heart, and protecting and empowering children and families impacted by abuse has always been Matthew’s top priority. He strives to provide the best of everything to the children in HomeSafe’s care, including top-notch facilities and qualified staff who care for the residents. Prior to joining HomeSafe, Matthew spent five years as Senior Accountant and Assistant Controller at YMCA of the USA in Chicago. He has served as board treasurer for both the Nonprofit Chamber of Palm Beach County and for the Partnership for Environmental Education at Jupiter High School. Matthew holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Marquette University. He loves spending time outdoors, and enjoys snorkeling, fishing, and camping with his wife, two daughters and retired greyhound. Matthew is also a successful beekeeper and takes great joy in sharing honey from his backyard hives.
Amanda Stone, LMHC – Chief Operations Officer
Amanda Stone, LMHC, serves as Chief Operating Officer for HomeSafe, bringing extensive experience in program management, clinical services, and community engagement. A licensed mental health counselor and Qualified Supervisor for the State of Florida, Amanda approaches all aspects of care through a trauma-focused, strength-based lens. Her background includes managing programs and clinical services at both the community and residential levels, as well as experience in case management, therapy, and supporting children, adolescents, and teen parents. She has also worked within childcare centers as both a provider and clinician, further deepening her understanding of child development and family dynamics. Amanda joined HomeSafe in 2021 as Chief Program Officer for the Healthy Beginnings Department. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Interdisciplinary Studies from Florida Atlantic University, and a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. Of Salvadoran descent, Amanda is fluent in both English and Spanish, which enhances her ability to connect with and support diverse communities.
Diane DelBene – Chief Financial Officer
Diane received her BA in Accounting from North Central College in Illinois. She has 30+ years experience in managing accounting and finance. Prior to joining HomeSafe, Diane worked as the Senior VP/CFO at the Jewish Community Center of the Palm Beaches where she provided strategic planning and financial oversight for the agency.
Laura Golden Barker, CFP® – Chief Philanthropy Officer
Laura joined HomeSafe as Director of Individual Philanthropy in March 2021. She manages the development program for HomeSafe including major gifts, annual giving, and foundation and corporate relations. Laura most recently served as the Executive Director of Development at Jupiter Medical Center Foundation, overseeing the major gifts department and a $300 million comprehensive fundraising campaign. Before that, she served as the Director of Major Gifts at the American Red Cross in Palm Beach County. Laura earned her BA from Amherst College and then obtained her CFP® (Certified Financial Planning) designation. She is also a graduate of Leadership West Palm Beach class of 2019. Laura is a Florida native who lived in Massachusetts, New York, and Spain before returning home to Palm Beach County. She resides in Palm Beach Gardens with her husband and two children.
