Matthew Ladika – Chief Executive Officer

Matthew holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Marquette University. Prior to coming to HomeSafe, he spent five years as a Senior Accountant and Assistant Controller with progressively responsible positions at the YMCA of the USA. Matthew started working at The Children’s Place at Home Safe on January 7, 1998 as Director of Finance. He became Chief Financial Officer in January 2005. In September 2006, Matthew was appointed Interim Chief Executive Officer, and on January 1, 2007, was promote to CEO of HomeSafe. His management style, vision, energy are all key elements to help lead the agency’s mission of protecting abused children and breaking the cycle of abuse. Matthew’s strength as a leader for this organization stems from his longtime tenure at HomeSafe, and his pure dedication to the well-being of the children in our care.

Mike Tomczak – Chief Operations Officer

Mike has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, and a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Central Florida. He possesses more than two decades of program and agency management experience. Prior to joining HomeSafe, Mike worked for private providers contracted with the Department of Juvenile Justice to provide specialized mental health and delinquency intervention services to high and maximum risk youth.

Diane DelBene – Chief Financial Officer

Diane DelBene received her BA in Accounting from North Central College in Illinois. Diane has a background of 30 years’ experience in managing accounting and finance. Prior to joining HomeSafe, Diane worked as the Senior VP/CFO at the Jewish Community Center of the Palm Beaches where she provided strategic planning and financial oversight for the agency.

Billy Van Ee  – Chief Human Resources Officer

Billy holds a BBA in Human Resources Management from Grand Valley State University and has more than 20 years of human resources experience. He is also certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from the HR Certification Institute, and a SHRM-CP (Certified Professional) from the Society for Human Resources Management. From 1997 to 2001, Billy worked for HomeSafe as the Director of Human Resources and returned to the position in April 2010. Prior to rejoining HomeSafe, he held the positions of Director of Benefits and Administration and Recruiting Director for two international management consulting firms headquartered in Palm Beach Gardens. He’s a member of the national Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and HRPBC, Palm Beach County’s local SHRM chapter. Billy strongly believes in HomeSafe’s mission, and is the proud father of two young children that he fostered through HomeSafe – and ultimately adopted.

Paloma Prata  – Chief Program Officer

As Director of Prevention Services, Paloma manages the Healthy Beginnings program which provides screening and assessment services to newly-delivered moms and children from birth through five years of age. Paloma is also responsible for overseeing the Children’s Services Council contract requirements. She previously held the position as Assistant Director of Prevention Services preceded by Program Supervisor at HomeSafe. Prior to joining HomeSafe, Paloma was a Hospital Liaison for Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies. She earned a master’s in business (MBA) in International Business and a master’s degree in Developmental Psychology from Florida Atlantic University and a bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Florida.

Shannon Wayte, CFRE – Chief Advancement Officer

Shannon joined HomeSafe as Chief Advancement Officer in December 2019. She manages the comprehensive advancement program for HomeSafe including major gifts, annual giving, foundation and corporate relations, development communications and budgeting. With more than 15 years in the nonprofit sector, Shannon has served in progressively responsible positions in advancement for organizations including Florida Grand Opera, Barry University and Nova Southeastern University (NSU). Most recently, as Senior Director of Development at NSU, Shannon led an integrated development program for eight high-priority colleges within the Health Professions Division. In June 2018, Shannon attained her CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) credentials, a designation earned by less than 15% of advancement professionals. Shannon holds leadership appointments with various community boards and professional associations, among them, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance and the Royal Dames for Cancer Research. Shannon resides in Pompano Beach with her husband and two children.

Cindi Grazioso – Program Administrator

Cindi Grazioso is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor possessing two decades of extensive counseling experience. She’s also a National Certified Counselor which certifies her to provide clinical services throughout the country. Cindi has diversified experience working with various populations, ranging in age from birth to elderly. Her passion, however, has always been helping children, families and adolescents. She joined HomeSafe in 2009 as a Clinical Supervisor, and was promoted in 2012 to Clinical Director. In her role, Cindi oversees both clinical and residential staff for the Libra Girls North and Libra Boys North Specialized Therapeutic Group Care group home programs. She prides herself on ensuring HomeSafe upholds its vision of providing compassionate, high-quality and results-focused care for children and families. Cindi earned a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and a bachelor’s degree in Community Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. She’s also certified to supervise college students as Mental Health Counselor Interns in order to sit for licensure.

Chere Camus Brodi – Marketing Director

A native of Palm Beach County, Chere has more than 27 years of experience in marketing, special events and fund raising. Formerly, she served as the Development Director for Adopt-A-Family of the Palm Beaches, Inc. and spent 18 years doing Marketing and Communications for United Way of Palm Beach County. As Marketing Director, Chere brings her expertise in nonprofit marketing and brand management, media relations, event planning and development. Chere is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), a 2007 graduate of Leadership Palm Beach County, and a judge for The Palm Beach Post’s Pathfinder Awards.  She earned a bachelor of science degree in public relations from the University of Florida.
