Idie demonstrates sand box therapy

Town of Palm Beach United Way

SafetyNet Program Supervisor, Idie Moreno, LMHC, was a guest speaker at the Town of Palm Beach United Way 32nd Annual Business and Professional Breakfast at the Breakers on November 1. In her moving speech, Idie shared a story about one of the young children who is struggling after witnessing domestic violence, and how her team uses techniques, such as sand tray therapy, to help our kids learn to cope with grief and anxiety.

HomeSafe celebrated our wonderful nominee, Tarra Moten, at the Junior League of Boca Raton’s Woman Volunteer of the Year luncheon at the Boca Raton on November 10. Tarra currently serves as HomeSafe’s board president, and gives of her time to mentor young girls in our residential program.

Sherrye Sammons Fenton kicked off her Fashion for Philanthropy series at 1000 North in Jupiter on November 2, naming HomeSafe as the first nonprofit beneficiary. This luncheon and fashion show highlighted the talented designer Anne Fontaine and included other wonderful local artists. We are grateful to Sherrye for her generous support of HomeSafe’s mission.
