On March 1, 2022, HomeSafe unveiled plans to build a safe, secure home for abused and neglected children on the Bernstein Family Foundation campus in Boca Raton. Recognizing that physical environment has a major impact on our children’s attitude, mood and behavior, HomeSafe is creating healing spaces that are more welcoming, safe, predictable, and offer our kids a much-needed sense of privacy.

The Grand Cottage will provide our children with private bedrooms and bathrooms in the Kenneth and Maggie Rosenberg Residential Wings, open, socio-emotional development spaces in the G. Robert Sheetz and Deborah Lindstrom Great Room, and therapeutic spaces throughout. The Enrichment Center will include the Leslie L. Alexander Foundation Fitness Center, Beverly and Joel Altman Multimedia Room, a community room, and spaces to nurture talent and creativity, like the music room.

We are extraordinarily grateful to our friends who have provided the foundational gifts to ensure the campus’s renovation is underway.  Though we have a way to go, we are confident that others will step up to help us ensure the fulfillment of our dream for these children. We invite you to take a tour and see first-hand how this new facility will transform the lives of child abuse survivors.
